American Expedition Vehicles (AEV) has unveiled its second comprehensive upgrade package for Ford Super Duty trucks: the FX370. Designed for those who seek serious off-road capability without the extreme nature of the previously released FXL model, this new package focuses on a robust 37-inch tire setup, enhanced suspension, and reinforced body protection.


The Balance of Performance

While AEV is renowned for handling massive tire configurations, the FX370 represents a more measured approach. By utilizing 37-inch BFGoodrich All-Terrain T/A K03 tires, the truck maintains a factory-grade feel while significantly boosting its trail performance. This package sits alongside the larger FXL, which features 40-inch tires. The primary distinction remains the tire size and the necessary clearance modifications: unlike the FXL, the FX370 does not require the aggressive HighMark fender flares, offering a cleaner, more streamlined look.


Suspension and Equipment Upgrades

Both the FX370 and its larger sibling share the core components that make AEV builds stand out in the off-road community. Key features include:

  • Suspension: A custom four-inch AEV DualSport lift system equipped with Bilstein dampers specifically tuned for the Super Duty chassis.
  • Protection: Heavy-duty stamped steel front bumpers with winch compatibility and high-clearance rear bumpers to enhance departure angles.
  • Wheels: The FX370 rolls on 18-inch AEV Salta wheels, distinguishing it from the beadlock-capable Katmai wheels found on the FXL.

AEV has confirmed that production for the FX370 is scheduled to commence in October. The entry price for the package is set at $19,999, excluding the base cost of the Ford Super Duty truck. While specific optional extras have yet to be fully detailed by the manufacturer, the FX370 presents a $6,000 savings compared to the more extreme FXL model.
