This vehicle is scheduled to hit the market in early 2027 and will serve as the inaugural model for the automaker’s advanced Universal EV Platform.

The choice of the name "Fathom" reflects the company's focus on user-centric design. According to the manufacturer, the name was selected to symbolize depth and adaptability. The automaker stated: «We named it Fathom because real depth comes from deeply understanding how you live. Inspired by the classic measure of open arms, Fathom welcomes you in with an expansive interior and technology that adapts on the fly.»

Beyond its exterior dimensions, the pickup is designed to offer significant cabin space, with Ford noting that the passenger compartment alone provides more room than a Toyota RAV4.

Despite its entry-level pricing, the Fathom comes equipped with a robust suite of standard technology, including:
