Outdoor enthusiasts are gearing up for the 2026 ATV Minnesota Ride and Rally, a premier state convention scheduled to take place from September 18 to 20. The event will be headquartered at the Hubbard County Fairgrounds in Park Rapids, Minnesota, bringing together riders for a weekend of exploration and community engagement.

Event Organization and Collaboration

This year’s gathering is a collaborative effort spearheaded by the nonprofit organization ATV Minnesota (ATVAM) in partnership with six regional clubs: the Akeley Paul Bunyan Trail Riders, Fire Frost, Forest Riders, Red River Riders, Timberland Dirt Devils, and Woods and Wheels.

Event Schedule Highlights

The rally offers a comprehensive itinerary designed for off-road fans of varying experience levels:

  • Friday, Sept. 18: The festivities kick off with the “President's Ride” at 9 a.m. This 66-mile journey traverses the Paul Bunyan State Forest, featuring scenic stops at Thorpe Lookout and a break in Nevis. The evening concludes with local food trucks and a music bingo session.
  • Saturday, Sept. 19: Following a morning breakfast, participants can choose from three guided excursions starting between 9:00 and 10:00 a.m. These routes span the Two Inlets, Smoky Hills, and Paul Bunyan State Forests, offering everything from beginner-friendly 60-mile loops to challenging 90-mile intermediate trails. The day wraps up with a banquet, live and silent auctions, association elections, and the highly anticipated CFMOTO side-by-side raffle.
  • Sunday, Sept. 20: The weekend concludes with an executive board meeting for the association held at the Heartland Inn.

Registration and Logistics

Participation fees are structured by day: the Friday ride is priced at $25, while the Saturday excursion and banquet package is $50. Children aged 10 and under can participate at no cost. On-site camping is available starting Thursday at 2 p.m., with rates set at $50 for non-electric sites and $100 for those with power. Interested participants can secure their spots via the official membership portal.

The Impact of ATV Recreation

Beyond the trails, the rally highlights the vital role of ATV clubs in Minnesota. According to the association, ATVAM oversees 73 statewide clubs that collaborate closely with the Minnesota DNR and local land managers to develop and maintain trail infrastructure. Furthermore, these clubs conduct over 80 youth safety courses annually, ensuring the next generation of riders is properly trained.
