Increasing Maverick Performance

While the Ford Maverick Lobo stands out as a stylish option, non-hybrid versions of the compact pickup have historically been limited to 250 horsepower and 277 lb-ft of torque from the 2.0-liter EcoBoost engine. Ford is now introducing a factory-supported solution for owners seeking higher performance: the SV300T package.

As the name suggests, the upgrade increases the truck's output to a impressive 300 horsepower and 350 lb-ft of torque. The package is currently available for pre-order and is scheduled for release in the fourth quarter of 2026. Customers can opt to have the SV300T installed as a dealer-added kit or choose to have it integrated directly from the factory when purchasing a new vehicle.

Warranty and Compatibility

Unlike independent aftermarket modifications, this kit is backed by a three-year/36,000-mile warranty when installed by a Ford dealership or a certified technician, with coverage tied to the original vehicle purchase date. According to Long McArthur Ford, the SV300T is exclusively compatible with 2025 and newer non-hybrid, all-wheel-drive Maverick models.

Technical Upgrades and Features

The performance gains are achieved through hardware enhancements rather than simple software tweaks. Key components of the SV300T package include:

  • A larger turbocharger sourced from the 2.3-liter EcoBoost engine.
  • An upgraded Mishimoto intercooler.
  • A specialized Sport Borla exhaust system.
  • Suspension and transmission tuning derived from the Maverick Lobo (for XLT trims).
  • Optional larger rotors and two-piston front brakes for improved stopping power.

Visually, the SV300T distinguishes itself with a new front splitter, custom hood and side decals, and 20-inch wheels available in black or bronze finishes.

Pricing and Market Position

The total cost varies based on the truck's base configuration. Long McArthur Ford estimates the full package, including labor, to be approximately $15,595, or roughly $9,900 if excluding the graphic elements. Lobo owners can also equip the kit, likely at a lower price point as some components, such as the specialized brakes and suspension, are already factory-standard.

«When the small unibody Ford Maverick first debuted, some viewed it as a legitimate alternative to compact cars rather than just a traditional truck; with this performance package, that comparison becomes even more relevant for those desiring sports-car power combined with the utility of a pickup bed.»
