Yamaha has unveiled the CrossWave, a groundbreaking vessel that merges personal watercraft agility with dedicated fishing boat functionality. Designed from the ground up for anglers, it addresses common frustrations with traditional PWCs.
At nearly 13 feet long, the CrossWave provides a stable, dry platform with 360-degree walkaround decks. During testing, it handled choppy conditions confidently, allowing the angler to stand and cast without issue. Powered by a 200hp jet drive, it hits 55 mph but carries 26.4 gallons of fuel for a 100+ mile range.
The helm features dual 7-inch touchscreens for navigation and fish finding, creating a sophisticated "glass cockpit." Extensive storage, a T-track system for accessories, and pre-wiring for a trolling motor and Power-Pole anchor make it exceptionally capable. Its shallow 6-inch draft and jet drive protect sensitive habitats.
While it can carry four people, it's ideal for two anglers. Priced around $30,000 with a trailer, the CrossWave is easy to launch and store, creating a new category of hybrid fishing machine.
