American hypercar manufacturer Hennessey has officially pulled the covers off its latest masterpiece, the Venom F5-M. Known for pushing the boundaries of automotive performance, the company has positioned this new model as the most powerful manual-transmission hypercar currently in existence.
At the heart of the vehicle lies a robust 6.6-litre twin-turbocharged V8 engine. This powertrain generates a staggering 2,031bhp. While comprehensive performance metrics are still forthcoming, the manufacturer has confirmed that the vehicle is capable of exceeding speeds of 321 km/h (200mph).
Aerodynamics and Chassis Design
To manage such immense power effectively, the exterior design incorporates sophisticated aerodynamic features. The car sports a prominent 55-inch dorsal fin that stretches from the roof-mounted air intake to the rear of the vehicle. This design is complemented by an integrated roof scoop specifically engineered to channel cool air directly into the engine compartment, while the high-strength carbon fibre monocoque chassis ensures the overall weight remains exceptionally low.
A Driver-Focused Interior
The interior of the Venom F5-M is crafted to highlight the tactile experience of manual shifting. The cockpit is anchored by a bespoke six-speed manual gearbox, featuring a precision-milled six-speed gate and an intricate aluminium shift knob.
Luxury meets performance throughout the cabin, where gold-plated air vents and console accents contrast with extensive carbon fibre applications on the steering column and centre console. The steering wheel adopts a unique half-yolk design, housing essential controls such as indicators, wipers, and drive mode selectors to keep the driver's focus on the road.
Limited Production and Debut
Hennessey plans to keep the Venom F5-M extremely exclusive, with only 12 units scheduled for production. Each example will carry a starting price tag of approximately £1.9 million ($2.54 million). The hypercar is set to make its official public appearance at the upcoming Goodwood Festival of Speed in the UK, held from July 9 to July 12.
